Current Status of Things...

Purpose

The East Subregion's Purpose is to: 
  • Increase awareness of projects around us to foster coordination and integration of projects where practical and advantageous.
  • Provide a local outreach platform for the regional effort of the Bay Area Integrated Regional Water Management Plan.
  • Collaborate to increase the likelihood of funding through the State’s Integrated Regional Water Management grant programs: Prop 50, Prop 84 Prop 1E.
  • Current efforts to organize and collect project information are so that we will be ready to respond to near future PSPs*. 
  • There can be other inherent reasons to organize and collaborate such as realizing increased efficiencies in habitat and water conservation and better use of limited local funding. This can only happen if and when we are communicating/discussing our project’s locations, purposes, and possibilities of integrating 
  • Form networks to share resources and ideas.
  • Project Solicitation Package* – Announcement by the State Department of Water Resources (DWR) use to solicit applications for grant proposals.

Meetings

The East Subregion meets the third Thursday of the month from 1:00 to 2:30pm. This meeting time can change so check the Bay Area IRWMP Home Page calendar for meeting announcements when the meetings gets near. Meeting files
