This project will construct a sedimentation basin in Altamont Creek just downstream of the Bluebell Drive Bridge, which will require modification as part of the project, vegetation management activities, and creation of 1.4 acres of wetlands as environmental mitigation.
Curtail aggradation of Altamont Creek by trapping sediment loads from upstream in a sediment basin. Decrease potential for flooding in vicinity of Bluebell Bridge during a 100-year flood event.
