This project will increase Chabot Canal capacity downstream of I-580 through construction of additional box culvers and lower one levee maintenance road and increase capacity upstream by cleaning and widenting of the canal, concrete line banks, and retrofit culvert at railrod tracks. Lastly, implement trail extensions.
Increase Chabot Canal capacity to convey projected future 100-year storm flows from existing and planned developments. Extend system of regional trails.
