Location Description Arroyo Mocho, Cope Lake

This project construct a passive overflow structure at Station 340+00 on Arroyo Mocho and new earthen-lined, excavated-cut channel.  Install Cope Lake Pump Station (including fish screens) and widen Arroyo Mocho downstream of Cope Lake.  Lastly construct an Arroyo Mocho trail system.

Arroyo Mocho is currently undersized, with a capacity of 900 cfs compared to projected 100-year storm flows of approximately 4,800 cfs. The propsed project is expected to alleviate flooding along Arroyo Mocho by diverting and detaining 3,500 cfs of flows into the Chain of Lakes. In addition, the proposed project would provide regional storage for the Livermore-Amador Valley and reduce downstream flooding along Arroyo de la Laguna.
