Water Supply-Water Quality

The Water Supply-Water Quality (WS-WQ) functional area addresses water supply and water quality opportunities and challenges throughout the region. Bay Area Water Agencies Coalition (BAWAC) member agencies [ Alameda County Water District (ACWD) , Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) , Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) , East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) , San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) , Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) , Zone 7 Water Agency (Zone 7) , Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) , Sonoma County Water Agency (Sonoma CWA) , and Solano County Water Agency (Solano CWA) ] and the City of Napa are leading preparation of the WS-WQ document.

The WS-WQ document provides a discussion of water quality of supplies used by the Bay Area as well as regional water supply and demand through a 20-year planning horizon. In addition, the document includes an up-to-date list of projects identified to address water supply and water quality related issues.
