Wastewater-Recycled Water
The Wastewater-Recycled Water (WW-RW) functional area addresses treatment and discharge of wastewater and recycled water within the Bay Area. Bay Area Clean Water Agencies (BACWA) are leading the effort to prepare the WW-RW document, which addresses regional water recycling issues and opportunities.
Additional topics include addressing regional wastewater issues such as TMDLs through the Clean Estuary Partnership (BACWA, BASMAA, and the San Francisco Bay RWQCB), and regional biosolids planning and pollution prevention. The document includes descriptions of projects aimed at addressing the region’s wastewater and recycled water needs in the short- and long-term.
